General Information

The 13th Joint Conference on Mathematics and Computer Science (the 13th MaCS) will be held  this October!  It will be an online, web-based event.

We are pleased to let you know that following the traditions, the 13th Joint Conference on Mathematics and Computer Science (the 13th MaCS) will be held on October 1-3, 2020. Due to the current situation related to COVID-19, the 13th MaCS conference will be carried out as an online, web-based event.

The series of Joint Conference on Mathematics and Computer Science (MaCS)  was jointly initiated by the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest  and the Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, in 1994. The topics of the biannual MaCS conferences include all branches of mathematics, computer science, and their applications.

The organizers of this meeting are:
the Faculty of Informatics and the Institute of Mathematics of the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest and the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science and Faculty of Physics of the Babeş-Bolyai University,  Cluj-Napoca.

Important Dates (Deadlines):

Submission of abstracts: September 1, 2020 September 6, 2020
Notification of acceptance of abstracts: September 16, 2020 September 17, 2020
Submission of final version of abstracts: September 22, 2020 September 23, 2020
Conference:    October 1-3, 2020
Submission of full papers: November 2, 2020

The scientific program will consist of invited lectures and contributed presentations based on submitted abstracts selected by the Scientific Board.

Submission of abstracts:

The deadline for submitting  abstracts is September 1, 2020, September 6, 2020
Abstracts should be submitted in the form of a .pdf file and should be not more than  two pages long. The official language of the meeting is English, please prepare your abstract and your talk in this language .

Notification on acceptance of abstracts is September 16, 2020 September 17, 2020 .

Full paper submission:

Special issues of journals (Annales Universitatis Scientiarium Budapestinensis de Rolando Eötvös Nominatae. Sectio Computatorica and  Annales Universitatis Scientiarium Budapestinensis de Rolando Eötvös Nominatae. Sectio Mathematica)  will be devoted to full papers based on accepted abstracts and their presented talks.  The submitted papers should contain original research results and should not be submitted for publication elsewhere. The submitted full papers are going to be subject of the journals’ standard reviewing process and should meet their quality requirements.

Registration:

The deadline for registration is September 17, 2020, September 21, 2020.

There is no registration fee, but  all  participants are required to be registered. Only registered participants will be able to access the sections of the conference.
